October Activities in Pearland
With the crisp fall weather comes celebrations that usher in the very beginnings of the Holiday Season. Get ready for some spooky as well as classic annual events to celebrate the changing of the season.
We’ve rounded up a list of not-to-miss happenings throughout October and beyond.
Events at “the Pumpkin Church.” St. Andrews Episcopal Church at 2535 E Broadway St. hosts a number of events throughout October. It has one of the best pumpkin patches in the area; an annual tradition for many locals for their fall family photos. The patch is open every day from 10 am to 8 pm. Then on Friday, October 13th – 14th don’t miss the annual craft fair with a collection of area artists and crafts. On October 29th the patch goes all out with Trick or Treat in the Patch.
Celebrate the Great Pumpkin way as Bass Pro Shop. This October 21st – 22nd and again October 27-31, Bass Pro Shops in Pearland hosts free crafts and a pumpkin toss for prizes. Enjoy photos with the PEANUTS gang, and don’t miss trick-or-treating October 28th and the 31st with a costume parade on both evenings.
Just 40 miles south of Pearland in Angleton is the Brazonia County Fair. From October 15th-23rd, the old-fashioned fair atmosphere will entertain young people and bring a sweet nostalgia to adults with classic entertainment. Enjoy carnival rides, concerts, a rodeo, concessions, and ag/livestock displays. All set on a 120-acre fairground, there’s something different going on every day.
Show Your Axe Skill at Hurling Hatchets. Whether a participant or a spectator, Hurling Hatches 2021 is Pearland’s annual World Axe Throwing League Tournament from October 22nd-24th and is exciting entertainment. The competitions include standard, big axe, and duel competition. Those who participate can expect opponents of all skill levels with opportunities to win.
Valloween Madness at Vallensons’ Brewing. On Friday, October 29th from 6pm – midnight, come on out to Vallensons’s for some spooky entertaining Halloween characters. with themed decorations and foggers, creating a haunting atmosphere. Enjoy some great brews along with the Texasiana Famous Food Truck. And be sure to arrive in costume yourself, as there is a contest to be won!
Trick or Treat on Our Street & Pup-O-Ween. On October 30th from 5-8pm, head to Pearland Town Center, look for the bright orange signs and enjoy the festivities at the outdoor mall. From 6-7pm, the Fort Bend Symphony will be showcasing their Haunt-cert underneath the pavilion. Then at 7pm, see the pooch parade and costume contest. This is a popular Halloween event for the whole family, including your four-legged family member.
Trick or Treat Trail. On Halloween night, do not miss the 15th annual Trick or Treat Trail at the Pearland Recreation Center. You have no excuse because admission is FREE. They have fun in store for all ages; not just the kiddos. The first 3,000 participants will receive a free trick-or-treat bag to gather their treats for the night. Enjoy lots of food, music, and inflatables for the kids, and more!
