Summer Events in Pearland and Near Houston – 2022
There is no shortage of events going on this summer in Pearland. And since Houston is so close to us, you have even more choices on exciting and entertaining things to do in Pearland and beyond, just a short drive away.
This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it will whet your whistle on exciting things to come.
City of Pearland Concerts in the Park – every Friday in June
Every Friday evening during May and June, Pearland hosts this summer tradition. Come out to see some great live music, and relax (or dance) to a different band every Friday. Food vendors will be out to fill your tummy with tasty eats, and a playground is available for the kids. You may also bring your own food, so come ready with picnic blankets and baskets, lawn chairs, and get ready to celebrate summer with us. Pets are allowed with leash.
Sad Summer Fest – June 13
This is more than a music festival. This is a way for the music community to make a positive impact across the U.S. The festival selects over a dozen non-profit partners throughout a tour of 17 cities across America, and it’s coming to Houston on July 13th at The Lawn at White Oak. It promises to be a ton of fun with talented acts like Waterparks, Neck Deep, Mayday Parade, State Champs, Hot Mulligan, Against the Current, and The Summer Set.
Summer Seoul Festival – June 25
The is a celebration of our friends in the East. It is an Asian Music & Food Festival that is fun for the entire family. And it’s happening right in Pearland at Independence Park! Bring your picnic blankets, come hungry, and enjoy a day-long celebration. Details to come soon. Keep an eye on the website above.
Summer Solstice Celebration – June 26
Come celebrate the longest day as we honor the strength of the sun and the light within all of us. The Little Red One Shop and Lilith Shakti host this event of Love & Light. Come to 2523 Stevenson Rd. and bring your lawn chairs, blankets, bubbles, hula hoops, drums, and other acoustic instruments.
Christmas in July – July 2
Located at Pearland KC Hall at 2320 Hatfield Rd, grab the family and a few friends for this event beginning at 3pm. Santa will be visiting because he’s vacationing in Texas! There will be about 80 indoor and outdoor businesses selling clothing, home décor, sweet treats, bath products, custom cups, hot sauces, wreaths, and tons more! Along with face painting and outdoor games for the kids.
Pints for Parks – July 16
Located at Vallensons Brewing, come join them beginning at 2pm for their 2nd annual event hosted by the Forever Parks Foundation. This is a family-friendly event, with a silent auction, raffles, face painting and balloon making, animal trivia, live music, and food truck Foreign Policy.

Just a ½ hour drive from Pearland, the Smart Financial Center is hosting some major acts this summer. Here’s just a sample:
